Featuring 105,800 square feet of multi-use space including areas for weightlifting, training, and fitness classes; indoor, 200-meter, 1/8th mile running track; three full-court gymnasiums, etc.; the new Fitness Center alleviates the overcrowding of the existing student recreation center. Previously 350 people were turned away weekly from fitness classes in which they wished to participate. The space is unique in that it is not a recreation center, you won’t find a smoothie stand or a study hall, rather the Center is a fitness only facility serving as a learning environment for students focused on fitness and health.
