Budget$20MOverviewSet in the desert, this Administration building created for the Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians is a new place for community gatherings, meetings and home for the council chamber. The design story stemmed from the unique history of the tribe. Expressive through their native dance celebrations, rooted because generations upon generations have carried on their traditions on the reservation and resourceful because of their creation and use of weaved baskets. The weave is a common pattern throughout, representing the native weaves and showcasing the community history. The Rincon Luiseno Administration Building is a gateway building that welcomes visitors to the valley. It will serve as a stately facility, and will grow from the site with cultural rhythms and textures. As the government seat, the project houses Tribal Council, the administrative offices for the tribe and a large meeting room for the Community to meet in during their General Council meetings.
